Hyundai Motors led a new $14.2 million round for its Revv electric car company to continue expanding the electric vehicle market in Europe and Asia, according to a press release. This is considered one of the largest single-round investment by an automotive manufacturer so far this year.,

Revv, a self-driving car rental startup, has received $14 million in Series B investment. Hyundai Motor was the lead investor in the round.

This fundraising round included existing investors Edelweiss and Beenext, as well as new investors Dream Incubator, Sunjay Kapoor of Sona BLW, and Telama Investment.

The new funding will be used to extend the startup’s product offerings for both long-term and on-demand use cases, as well as to enhance its technological team and raise brand recognition.

Hyundai will investigate methods to assist Revv’s vehicle sharing service as part of this strategic commitment, including the provision of car sharing goods, the creation of new mobility service platforms, and product marketing.

Anupam Agarwal and Karan Jain established Revv in 2015. It’s a company that rents out self-driving cars. Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Visakhapatnam, Mysore, and Coimbatore are among the startup’s current locations. It claims to have a user base of over 300,000 people.
